Although I do not usually support political races and play favorites, I have decided to support Barack Obama for president. The reason for this post is how art reflects life. Recently I saw one of my favorite living young artists Shepard Fairey (who has shown reflection of how art and politics is used against us as weapons) Using his art as a weapon for change.

From his website, I found this image he is freely allowing people to download and distribute and paragraph explaining his decision.

“I believe with great conviction that Barack Obama should be the next President. I have been paying close attention to him since the Democratic convention in 2004. I feel that he is more a statesman than a politician. He was against the war when it was an unpopular position (and Hillary was for the war at that time), Obama is for energy and environmental conservation. He is for healthcare reform.
