For Arts Sake Media

For Arts Sake Media was created for Artists and Art lovers alike to address two major problems within the world of Art today.

The first is the lack of a holistic view of all the disparate, Art-related information on the web. Only a few content providers who are recognized “authorities” in the Art world provide information to the critical mass and they don’t effectively represent many of the niche categories (like graffiti and glass blowing). Plus, trying to navigate through the slew of articles and blogs out there is mind boggling at best, and a lot of good information never gets read. But that’s all about to change.

The second problem is the limitation within the current structure of the Art market. Today there are vastly more artists creating unique and desirable work than there are consumers purchasing it. This imbalance is because of the limitations of viewing Art, not because of a lack of interest. Traditionally, only wealthy collectors and professionals with exclusive access could purchase pieces, but why shouldn’t art be accessible to everyone?

In creating For Arts Sake Media, we saw an opportunity to blend our passion for Art with our love of technology to address these issues and make the world of Art available to all. As more people have access to learn and experience Art, the more likely they are to purchase and participate in its community. Idealistic? Yes, achievable.

Still, without your contributions and community involvement, we are nothing. In our endeavor to bring you these products, we now know what it means to truly be a starving Artist. We have the utmost gratitude for your participation in our site. We look forward to your involvement and constant feedback.

We are here for you — For Arts Sake!
